Born in Mumbai, I grew up in the beautiful city of Baroda and began writing at the age of 12. Poems at first, then stories filled with murder and intrigue. After a brief, clandestine tryst with romance novels, my murder mysteries were infused with a deep romantic element.

Through two Ph.Ds. and a fulfilling teaching career, I remained a storyteller at heart. I thrive on oral histories, especially women’s stories, and seek to retrieve, protect, and nurture these tales wherever I find them.

I also enjoy baking, a little more than I should. I love jewelry, my big, oversized earrings, and all things statement. I never leave home without lipstick and am often caught dressed up to channel the sassy heroines of my books.

But mainly, I love writing stories of joy and pleasure for my people. My debut novel, The Art of Taking Second Chances was released in July 2023.
