The Jilted Lovers

Tara and Sameer may have found their HEA, but the plight of their jilted lovers, Sujit and Aarti, continued to weigh on my conscience. Thus, the third stand-alone book in this series strives to give Sujit and Aarti their HEA, in the form they want.

When Aarti travels to New York from Dallas in the winter under the pretext of examining the conditions of the buildings her father’s real estate company has recently acquired, both she and her family know it’s a ruse. She doesn’t want to be in the city when her ex-fiance gets married to his sweetheart. But life has a strange sense of humor, for that first night she is in New York, she ends up in a business meeting with Sujit. What is first an embarrassment, soon turns to friendship fuelled by a sense of kindred spirit. But then there is fire, and desire, and lust. Or is it something more?

Sujit is surrounded by people who love him and go to great lengths to protect him as the baby of the family. Can Aarti breach into this inner circle, and at what cost?

While Tara is my first creation and my first love-child, and Sona’s strong-headedness is closest to mine, Aarti has turned out to be a surprise, especially in the way she managed to change my mind about a critical decision about her life.
