I’m strong but

I will cry

At every whip lashed across a page

At every sight of human scavenging 

At every poor trampled by a rich shoe

I will cry

At every unkind word they speak

Flagellating the weakest of the weak

Where I find myself unable to act

I will cry 

For every child screaming from hunger

Every person driven out of their home

At every step taken toward uncertainty 

Lifeless bodies, soulless lives

Let me cry

Let me weep into the abyss

Until the wretched of the earth 

Have won the war waged against humanity
